SWEDISH MASSAGE
A traditional circulatory massage utilizing strokes that elongate
tight muscles, easing them out of a tightened state. This massage
mainly concentrates on relaxation and stress reduction.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
A versatile modality that can focus on a specific injury or chronic
patterns by neuromuscular re-education and applied pressure. This
allows healing and relief to begin.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
A group of similar therapies whose intention is to release muscle
fascia. The the concept that all body structures are surrounded by
fascia, this tissue has an ability to be stressed or hardened. Because
of trauma or over use, tissue can develop adhesions or scar tissue.
These techniques allow the tissue to warm and soften, creating a more fluid
state for the fascia and increase mobility and flexibility. DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
This style of bodywork is slow and uses deep pressure to release
discomfort and chronic muscle pain and tension.
HAWAIIAN MASSAGE
Native to the Hawaiian Islands, this ancient massage technique,
handed down from generation to generation, is a blend of Swedish, deep
tissue and sports massage.
SPORTS MASSAGE
A massage designed for athletes. The main focus of this
massage is to improve the performance of the athlete within specific time
frames relevant to an event. There are numerous variations of these
techniques and they will be based on the individual and their event.
PREGNANCY MASSAGE
Prenatal bodywork is a massage custom tailored to fit the
ever-changing needs of an expectant mother. It blends special
techniques to gently relax the whole body in a comfortable manner; and will

HOT STONE MASSAGE
A traditional Swedish or therapeutic massage combined with the use
of hot basalt stones, designed to enhance deep relaxation. The heat
penetrates deep into the muscles, melting away layers of tension and
stress. Great for a cold winter day.
KINESIO TAPING

Taping is a non-restrictive type of taping that gives support and
stability to your joints and muscles without affecting circulation and
range of motion. It is also used for Preventive Maintenance, Edema, and
to treat pain. It is a waterproof tape that is applied over muscles to
reduce pain and inflammation, relax overused tired muscles, and to
support muscles in movement on a 24hr/day basis. The tape is typically
worn anywhere from 3-7 days at a time and it is used for anything from
headaches to foot problems and everything in between.
Examples include:
muscle tightness (spasms), muscle weakness, carpal tunnel syndrome,
lower back strain/pain (subluxations, herniated disc), knee conditions,
shoulder conditions, hamstring, groin injury, rotator cuff injury,
whiplash, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, pre and post surgical edema,
ankle sprains, athletic preventative injury method, and as a support
method.
ORTHO BIONOMY

Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle, non-invasive, osteopathically-based form
of body therapy which is highly effective in working with chronic
stress, injuries and pains or problems associated with postural and
structural imbalances. The practitioner uses gentle movements and
positions of the body to facilitate the change of stress and pain
patterns. A strong focus is placed on the comfort of the individual, no
forceful manipulations are used. Ortho-Bionomy is very effective in
helping alleviate both acute and chronic pain and stress patterns by
reducing chronic muscle tension, soothing the joints, increasing
flexibility, improving circulation, and relaxing the entire body.
Unlike regular massage Ortho Bionomy is done fully clothed.
